Career Development - Tip

Resume Writing - Personal Marketing Strategy

In the corporate world, each individual is just a product, you trade
your potentials and skills for a salary. Product goes through life
cycle, so does each individual job. To sell a product or yourself well
requires innovation, creativity and a good marketing strategy.

Good product with flawed marketing strategy will get disappointing
results. Different jobs require different marketing strategies, yet my
experiences with most job seekers, when asked what their marketing
strategies are for developing their resumes and promoting themselves
to prospective employers - I always get a blank look in their face
with the answer: "What strategy?"

Resume writing is an art, its a process that offers you the
opportunity to distinguish yourselves from others. Your resumes and
job search must be different from everyone else and when produced
properly, your resume is the centerpiece of the entire job search
campaign. Yet statistic has shown that more than 80% of all working
individuals are uninspired with their jobs and careers.

The secrets of a good resume is to identify your values to a
prospective employer and illustrate how your values can benefit them.
So do your self analysis, discover your values that the prospective
employers wanted and start practicing your resume writing.
